Here is a link to a great infographic showing the history of Internet search. I’m not talking about clicking on that little down arrow by your address bar that gives you your history but rather about how search has developed on the Internet since 1994 with the launch of “Jerry and David’s Guide to the World Wide Web”. That was a time when the Information Superhighway was more of a one way street with speed humps every 20 metres.
It gives you notes on some once famous names such as Lycos, Alta Vista and HotBot, “Hot What?” you cry out increduously if you’re under 30.
